Karissa Wenger, Floodline Stories Intern

Karissa is a sophomore at MIT and is studying Civil and Environmental Engineering. She is particularly interested in the effects of environmental engineering on individuals' lives. Previously, she worked on a team at MIT to design temporary shelters for individuals displaced from their homes by a hurricane. After learning from a relative about the struggles of living on a property located in a flood zone, Karissa decided to intern at Buy-In to help further their mission to provide support to flood-prone property owners throughout the buy-out process.
