Driven by a deep respect for our planet and people, Risa is passionate about working at the intersection of business, society and environment, creating sustainable, transformative and scalable solutions for a better tomorrow. She draws on a decade of community and economic development, environmental planning, and conservation finance experience spanning program and budget development, federal housing block grant administration, conservation policy, open space development, accounting, and business strategy. Working for local government, nonprofits and for profits, Risa has helped purpose-driven businesses, agencies, and organizations grow in scope and impact.

Most recently, Risa formed a boutique consulting firm focused on business development and financial analysis for mission driven start-ups. Prior to starting her own firm, Risa was a Program Manager at The Trust for Public Land where she led the organization’s programs in Detroit, including the creation and development of the city’s pilot neighborhood revitalization effort in Fitzgerald to implement a multi-benefit approach to housing revitalization, park creation, and revenue generating open space strategies for vacant land. 

Risa holds a BA in Geography from Syracuse University, a Certificate of Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University, and completed a rigorous business acceleration program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
